Vax time function does not return a value
« on: December 28, 2010, 09:31:32 AM »
I am porting fortran code from a Vax/VMS platform to a linux platform.  The Vax time function in the code is not returning a value. The call to the time function is below:

Character*8 systems_time

Call time (systems_time)

What is the problem?

Code: [Select]
     program vtim
      character*8 stime
      call time(stime)
      write(*,'(1x,"|",A,"|")')stime
      end

Code: [Select]
$ f77 -V
Absoft 64-bit Pro Fortran 11.1.1
ERROR: No input files.
Quote
$ f77 vtim.f -lV77
Code: [Select]
$  ./a.out

Perhaps "Project", "Project Options", "VAX/VMS Library" is not checked ....
