Before you can begin using Absoft Pro Fortran on your OS X Yosemite system, you will need to install some additional command line development tools from Apple's Xcode development kit. Installing these Xcode command line tools on OS X El Capitan and Yosemite is accomplished with the following steps:
1) Launch Apple's Terminal program from the Applications/Utilities folder
2) Enter
xcode-select --install and press the return key
3) When the xcode-select dialog appears, choose "Install" to begin installation
After you have installed the Xcode command line tools, you can also install the complete Xcode application by repeating step 2 and choosing "Get Xcode" when the xcode-select dialog re-appears. Note: the complete Xcode application is not required for Absoft Pro Fortran.
