Setting environment variables on mac from the IDE
« on: December 03, 2010, 02:04:41 PM »
I would like to run a Makefile (or rather several makefiles with one main that executes the others in different dirs)
I need to set some environment variables when executing Makefile on a Mac.

If I run in line mode in a terminal, then it is easy to fix.
BUT
How do I set a variable if I run from the IDE where I execute
amake Makefile
when building the project.

Is there a way of telling Absoft to set the variables before doing the make command or can I sent the environemtal variable premanently on my mac so it is always exisiting no matter which way I evoke Absoft compiler, in line mode or as IDE?

UPDATE - solution

I found that I could set the environmental variables via the -e flag option
amake2 -e FEAPHOME8_3=/Users/lel/AbsoftProjects/FEAP_ver83

as I used a makefile for my compilation
