I used the "OPEN(UNIT=5,FILE='PRN') under windos XP to access the printer and it worked perfectly.
Using the same in another PC (again under windos XP) it does not work an give an error for file not foud.

Dvitale, yes, this is a known problem. Have you tried "PRN:" (with the colon)? Also, check explicit functioning, such as "LPT1:".
