AbsoftPro Fortran 10 - Win10- Kaspersky conflict?
« on: March 23, 2021, 07:48:27 AM »
Dear Absoft experts,

I have problem with the compiling of L77 code with the AbsoftPro Fortran 10 compiler. In some cases I can not compile programs, which containing similar subroutines than programs which were compiled correctly under the same compiler settings. Below is the compiler output. Somewhere I read that it is possible that there are conflicts with PC protection program (in my case Kaspersky) and compiler. Did anyone observed similar problem? Thanks for suggestions.

BR, Gorazd

PS: I did not found C:\Users\gogo\AppData\Local\Temp\AbsAF.tmp\   folder on my PC, despite the fact that in the ninth line from bottom up this folder should be created.

I don't know why the error is occurring on your system or that Kaspersky is the
cause of it, but I can offer a possible workaround.

The error is being generated when the compiler tries to run the C preprocessor to deal
with any #define or #if/#endif preprocessor directives that may be present in your source
code. By convention, the compiler only invokes the C preprocessor for files that have one
of the uppercase extensions: .F, .FOR, .F90, or .F95. If you don't have any # directives
in your code, try renaming your source file with a lower case extension.  Rename the
JAR5fL.FOR file to JAR5fL.for in the Windows File Explorer and then remove and re-add
the file to your Absoft project.

Note: you will not find a C:\Users\gogo\AppData\Local\Temp\AbsAF.tmp directory
on your system. This is a temporary directory that was created and removed during
the compilation process. You can see it happen in the verbose compiler output:

   mkdir C:\Users\gogo\AppData\Local\Temp\AbsAF.tmp\

   <commands removed for brevity>

   rmdir C:\Users\gogo\AppData\Local\Temp\AbsAF.tmp\

Thanks for hint. Renaming extension to lower case  solved  problem!!!
